The Aesthetic Medicine editorial boards clinical expertise and diverse range of specialties help ensure the magazine meets the needs of the reader. In this issue, we received guidance from the following members.

DR ALEK NIKOLIC

Dr Nikolic has amassed over 24 years of experience in private practice. Specialising in skin care, skin ingredients, and cosmetic dermatology treatments, he has performed over 20 000 procedures to date. He is also responsible for training practitioners, lecturing, and performing live demonstrations across the globe.

DR ALASTAIR CLARK

Dr Alastair Clark has dedicated over 20 years to his private medical aesthetics practice, establishing himself as a leading expert in the field. As President of the South African Anti-Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine Society (AAMSSA) and International Chair of the Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborative (CMAC), he leads efforts to enhance standards, patient safety, and outcomes in aesthetic medicine.

DR ANJANA BHANA

Dr Anjana Bhana brings over 14 years of training and expertise in Aesthetic Medicine to her practice. Graduating with Cum Laude honors from FDP Health Sciences and receiving a Maxillo Facial Research Award in 2004, she regularly lectures and presents at numerous congresses and specialised workshops, both locally and internationally. She also provides independent training.

DR CATHERINE DAVIES

Dr Catherine Davies has 17 years of experience in aesthetic medicine, regenerative medicine and hair transplant surgery using the FUE technique. She also holds the position of lead educator for PRF Edu in the United States and contributes as a lecturer for The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and the Foundation for Professional Development.

DR MARK OPPERMAN

After graduating from the University of Pretoria’s Medical School in 1999, Dr Opperman set off abroad to practice Medical Aesthetics in the United States. He also developed a keen interest in Advanced Integrative Medicine, and, since 2001, De Opperman has been specializing and practicing non-surgical medical aesthetics and functional medicine, with a focus on integrative anti-ageing solutions.

DR VANESSA LAPINER

Dr Vanessa Lapiner is a dermatologist based in Cape Town with key interests in integrative dermatology, mole mapping and dermo-cosmetology. Her research interests include pigmentation disorders, the gut: brain: skin axis, nutrition as a therapeutic tool in dermatologic disease management, healthy skin metabolomics and cosmeceutical formulation technologies. She is the founder of TASH360.
