Powerful scar therapy

Lamelle Pharmaceuticals introduces Centar, a range designed to improve the appearance of new scars from wounds and prevent or reduce the visibility of stretch marks.

Centar’s active formula features Centella Asiatica extract, clinically proven to reduce inflammation, promote tissue regeneration, facilitate cell migration, and boost collagen production. Its ultra-distillate form, UDCA, delivers a highly purified and potent healing agent that surpasses traditional Centella extracts. Coupled with Copper Tri-peptide (GHK-Cu), Centar enhances collagen and elastin production, boosts cellular turnover, and stimulates new blood vessel formation – key processes for optimal wound healing and scar minimisation.

Centar Gel also includes Ectoin, a natural extremolyte that locks in hydration, soothes the skin, improves elasticity, and aids in barrier repair.

Centar Lotion, formulated for larger areas prone to stretch marks, effectively addresses new, red stretch marks and closed red scars, while the concentrated Centar Gel formula targets newly forming scars or persistently red scars with powerful healing ingredients. Both products are safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. 011 465 2264

Gentle cleaning power

Clinisept+ has introduced an advanced skin cleansing solution ideal for aesthetic and cosmetic treatments. Using revolutionary hypochlorous technology, it provides superior antimicrobial protection while remaining skin-friendly.

Unlike traditional cleansers that rely on toxic methods to clean the skin, Clinisept+ employs an oxidising action that is non-cytotoxic, ensuring no harm to skin, even re-growing cells. It’s pH-neutral and non-irritating, even for the most sensitive skin, making it safe for use before, during, and after treatments.

The range has been formulated to support skin health and optimises recovery by reducing redness and swelling, making it an essential for any aesthetic regimen. 076 857 9633

Advanced CBD skincare

OptoDerm's new CBD Moisturising Cream combines 5mg/ml of pure CBD with the company’s advanced lipid bilayer moisturising technology, PenetrX delivery system, and soothing peptide. This unique formulation ensures the optimal delivery of CBD to the skin, maximising its benefits across multiple pathways.

Key benefits of the cream include its ability to regulate the skin's oil and moisture content through sebum-related gene modulation, reduce redness and inflammation by downregulating inflammatory markers, and improve skin texture by enhancing collagen and elastin production. Additionally, it strengthens the skin barrier by promoting filaggrin and ceramide synthesis, making it suitable for sensitive and reactive skin types due to its strong anti-inflammatory properties. 087 551 1661

Navigating Menopausal Skin
Menopause – a time of wisdom and independence, but for our patients it is often synonymous with collagen loss, increased wrinkling, and those perplexing bruises that suddenly appear on the forearms. The exit of oestrogen triggers a cascade of changes, with skin taking the hardest hit. In clinic, we see this in the form of sagging, thinning, and an increase in visible vascular changes like telangiectasias. For menopausal skin, simply recommending a moisturiser isn’t enough. A more integrative approach is essential.
